A Summary of Government Jobs Outlook

An article published by a national newspaper stated that: “Uncle Sam, the nation’s largest employer, is gearing up for a hiring binge.”

The hiring is a result of the coming retirement of thousands of federal employees and the dire need for new employees in Homeland Security. Predictions for the next five years are that from 30 to 50 percent of the entire full-time federal workforce will need to be replaced!

There are 90 independent Agencies and over 35,000 individual job titles in the federal government. There are almost 3 million men and women working for the Federal government, which includes the Postal Service, and, the total number of employees working for the State, County and City levels of government is an astounding total of 15 million! Therefore, the number of jobs that become available is constant and so very necessary.

You must learn to take advantage of all of the information available to you, and then use that knowledge to your best advantage to succeed in acquiring a secure government job!

There is much to learn and we will first provide you with the foundation and then proceed to build upon that foundation to the real reason you are earnestly applying yourself to this important learning program: to be able to efficiently apply for and successfully enter government employment!
